Start Web URL with Keyword

Start Title with Keyword

You have to use H1 tag for your blog post title. Mostly CMS automatically add the H1 tag to your blog post title. If you are using any CMS then you don’t need to pay any attention on this.

But there are some themes in WordPress CMS which can become cause of Override this functionality. You can check your site code to make sure that title is wrapped in H1 tag or not. It’s better to wrap title in H1 tag with your targeted keyword.

Use Dazzle with multimedia

Simple articles can give you many readers, but usage of images and video become cause of decreased in bounce rate and increase in time on site. These are two critical user interaction ranking factors which can increase website traffic.

By using multimedia in your article increase the credibility of content by which Google pay more attention to rank your content. You can get many backlinks by using info-graphics in your content to convey message.

Keywords in First Paragraph

You must have to use your keywords in the first paragraph which is of 100 to 150 words. Some people start their post off with a long meandering introduction. This is very easy white hat SEO strategy to increase website traffic. Outbound links to related pages helps Google to figure out your page topic. It also shows Google that your page is hub of quality information.

Not linking out might be the number 1 On Page SEO mistake that I have seen many people are following. I try to use 2 to 4 outbound links per 1000 words article. This is the generic rule of thumb for most popular sites. Remember the sites which you link out to reflect on you. So make sure, to link out only high authority sites whenever it possible.

Use Internal Links

When you link one of your article with your other article that called internal linking. As much you focus on your internal linking you can get more readers. The best example of perfectly internal linked website is Wikipedia. You will observe every paragraph have at least two internal links. When reader start reading your content and see your internal link, it will become cause to read that article to by reader. So always linked relative articles with each other as much as you can.

Boost Site Speed

Google measures the web page load speed which you can easily determined online. You can view it on alexa.com also. You can easily boost you website speed by using CDN and compressing images and deleting useless plugins if you are the user of wordpress CMS. Make sure you site doesn’t take more than 8 second to load. Because mostly user less liked to visit a site which have high load time.

Sprinkle LSI Keywords

LSI keywords are synonyms that Google uses to determine a page relevancy and possible quality. You need to sprinkle LSI keywords (Latent Semantic Indexing) in every post. I don’t use LSI keywords because I used to write long articles and long content have naturally many LSI keywords wrap inside.

But if you want to make 100 percent sure that you are using LSI keywords, then search for your keywords in Google and scroll down to the related searches, there are many related LSI keywords which you will found and used them into your post.

Image Optimization

Make sure at least one image file name must include your targeted keyword for example I have used the feature image with keyword “on page SEO.jpeg”. Remember always use your targeted keyword in the ALT Text of your image to get better results.

Another reason to optimize your images for SEO purpose. It gives search engines another clue of what your page is about. This make easier for search engine to rank in organic searches.

Use Social Sharing Buttons

Social media signals may not play direct role in ranking. But social media shares generate more eyeballs on your content and increase website traffic. The more eyeballs you get the more likely someone is to link your content. So don’t be shy for placing sharing buttons prominently on your site.

Post Long Content

Motto of every professional blogger is “Length is Strength”. The longer content significantly ranked higher on SERP. As the blogger your aim should be at least 1000 words for every piece of content that you write for publishing. Longer content helps you rank better for your targeted keyword and bring more long tail traffic to increase website traffic.

Boost Dwell Time

If someone hits their back button immediately after landing on web page, it tells Google in black and white that this web page has low quality content. That’s why Google uses “dwell time” to size up your content quality. Increase your average dwell time by writing long and engaging content that will keep people reading.

Quality Content

Every SEO expert and blogger say to improve quality of content and you are sick and tired of hearing about this. Even though search engines have no direct method of determining quality. They have plenty of indirect methods, such as:

  • Repeat Visitors
  • Bookmarks
  • Time on Site
  • Dwell Time
  • Organic Searches

In other words great content definitely won’t hurt you by any indirect method. So there is no reason NOT to publish awesome stuff every single time with details.

Encourage Blog Comments

I have long suspected that sites with lot of high quality blog comments get a slight edge in Google Search Results. That’s why I wasn’t surprised when Google said that having thriving community on you site can help lot with ranking. That’s why it’s smart to encourage people to comment on your blog post.

Maximize Organic CTR

There is no doubt in my mind that Google uses organic click through rate as the ranking signal. Even if they don’t, you still want to optimize your Google listing for CTR.
